Local Area Advisory Committee

The Local Area Advisory Committee (LAAC) has oversight over the American Job Centers/DLT Career Centers in the Greater Rhode Island local area, manages technology needs to improve access and communication among programs, conducts program oversight, negotiates local performance measures, selects operators and providers, and assesses physical and programmatic accessibility of the centers. The Committee also oversees the design, development, and deliberation of policies impacting the local area and the creation of the local area WIOA plan for approval by the full board.
