RI Governor's Coaching Corps
The Rhode Island Governor’s Coaching Corps, part of the Skillful Coaching Corps network, is a state-based training and leadership development program which strengthens and supports exceptional career coaching professionals, so they are better equipped to connect people to effective training opportunities and quality jobs. Skillful is championing skills-based approaches for more effective coaching by providing resources and training to this core group of professionals who play a crucial role in our labor markets, to help workers and jobseekers access opportunities in the digital era.
Rhode Island launched the Governor’s Coaching Corps with grant funding received through the Strada Education Network in Fall 2020 as part of Back to Work RI, the state’s workforce development initiative to help Rhode Islanders who have been economically impacted by the coronavirus pandemic get the skills and resources they need for new careers.
